As part of its commitment to enhancing social infrastructure and community facilities, Sri City, the integrated business city in Andhra Pradesh, has inaugurated a community library and a cricket ground.
The library was ceremoniously opened on the second floor of the local shopping arcade near the Creek Side residential community on Friday morning. The event was graced by OV Nambiar, Trustee of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, as the chief guest. Ramesh Kumar, Vice President, Customer Relations and a few other officials were present.
Meanwhile, the cricket ground near the Gyan Circle was inaugurated by Satish Kamat, President (Operations), with a brief match held to mark the occasion. Designed to benefit students from educational institutions like the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Krea University, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, and Accord Business School within Sri City, as well as the industrial community for recreational use, the cricket ground adds to the existing sports facilities, which include a golf course near the city's guest house.
Commenting on the addition of these new amenities, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director of Sri City, encouraged students from colleges and universities within Sri City, representatives from industries, and employees to utilise these facilities to enhance their skills and mental well-being. He also hinted at the possibility of more facilities being introduced in the future.
